CTFAS Executive Dialogue: ASEAN Economic Community: Implications for the Health Care Industry
The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) is the goal endorsed by the ASEAN leaders since the 13th ASEAN Summit in 2007: to form an economic integrated region by 2015. The establishment of this regional economic integration will allow ASEAN to be a highly competitive economic region with a single market and production base, thereby creating a region of equitable economic development that would be fully integrated into the global economy.

With harmonization due for 2015, the Healthcare industry in ASEAN can expect some challenges and opportunities that would reshape its progress.

The CTFAS Executive Dialogue: ASEAN Economic Community: Implications for the Health Care Industry on 2nd October 2014 is a timely forum that highlights how the industry can take advantage of single point of entry, reduced tariffs, abolished barriers to trade, get an update on the implementation as well as understand the FTAs between ASEAN and China or India.

Dr Lim Hong Hin, ASEAN Deputy Secretary General in-charge of ASEAN Economic Integration, will kick off the event with a keynote address covering an overview of what the AEC means for the Healthcare industry. The event will conclude with a roundtable discussion on Challenges and Opportunities: Importance of Private and Public Partnership to Meet Consumers Needs, chaired by Dr Lim and 5 other key industry gurus.
